GREATER REWARDS

Sir, —Under the title “Greater Rewards Due” (Herald February 25, 1949) Mr Nash makes some very potential remarks. Which goes to show the weakness of policy under the administration of international finance. When he said: “I appreciate statements made by engineers that their profession does not receive its full share of the national income (dividend).” I presume he appreciates the same statements from other sections of the: community.

His appeal was to the Engineers’ Conference to assist in stopping the flood of inflation (let loose by the plotters of Bretton Woods, Havana and Marshall plan) which is setting in the rot amongst all Britishspeaking nations. And if those engineers who attended the conference knew anything about Major Douglas; and his work on social economy in Alberta they could have given Mr Nash the reply courteous as to how to run this country, for the people the break the bondage of international debt.

But, as Mr Nash is a keen'believer in controls, it is beyond his control to do otherwise.

Why is it that America is in the thraldom of economic disturbance? It will reach here; and what is Mr Nash gping to do about it? I could pass the same remark to Mr Holland. This wants a clear statement from both sides’ of the House before the next election. Will Mr Nash pass the buck?

Yours etc., W. BRADSHAW.
