Motor Cycling

GOOD RACING IS EXPECTED TOMORROW (By “Cracked Exhaust”) The .officials of the Bay of Plenty Motor Cycle Club are satisfied by the number of well-known figures in the motor cycle world who-have posted in their entrance fees as contestants in the motor cycle race meeting at the Whakatane Domain tomorrow.

Riders are expected from many parts of the North Island and some of the Auckland champions headed by Len Perry have signified their intentions of being in the meet. W. O’Brien, Hamilton, and Dixie Dean, from Tauranga are bringing strong teams while J. Benson and other East Coast riders from Gisborne are also making the trip. The Opotiki team is not yet complete, but the Whakatane enthusiasts are quietly confident that when the Marsh’s, the Wood’s, the Goodwins, Frankie, Alf, Leo the Lion, Lil’ Arthur and Jesspo, lead their hotted-up steeds from under the house and out of the woodshed, the whole blooming lot. of the visiting riders will knoyy that they have “been to the races!”
