The annual meeting of the Manawahe W.I. was held in the local hall. Mrs Bowden presided over an average attendance. Four visitors were present.
Officers elected: President, Mrs Goldsmith; secretary, Mrs Wilding; treasurer, Mrs Bowes; press correspondent, Mrs Baldwin; committee, Mesdames Ansell, . Bowden, Hopkins, G. Logan, Mikkelsen, Morice, K. Rendall, Thompson. Points prizes for the year: Best shrub, Mrs Bowden 1, Mrs Thompson 2; best bloom, Mrs Mikkelsen 1, Mrs Morice 2.
