Whakatane National Party Meeting

One of the best attended and most enthusiastic annual meetings of the Whakatane Branch of the New Zealand National Party was held on Wednesday night. Business was dealt with quickly and the meeting was later addressed by three speakers, one of them, Mr W. Sullivan, giving an outline of the preparations of the National Party to contest the forthcoming elections. Officers elected:— Chairman, Mr H. G. Warren; deputy chairman, Mr G. Otley; secretary,. Mrs P. R. Gartshore; treasurer, Mr L. Buddie.
