Axemen’s Dance At Edgecumbe

Outstanding success attended the dance staged by the Rangitaiki Axemen’s Association as a finale to the sports at Edgecumbe on Saturday. Harrison’s orchestra kept happy feet gliding on a perfect floor, with Mr A. B. Hill a cheery and capable M.C. Monte Carlo winners were Miss Waugh and Mr Simons, and Miss Luttrell and Mr N. Baty. Winners of competitions in connection with the sports were: Cake, Colin O’Rourke; dinner, Miss M. Head; lucky ticket, Mr Ward; silver dish, Betty Brian; book of chocolates, Marino Matehite; goose, Mrs P. Hitchins; box of chocolates, Patty Walsh.
