Mr and Mrs J. Mitchell, Waimana, are at present holidaying in the South Island.

Mr A. N. Ward, Director of Herd Improvement of the New Zealand Dairy Board, and Mr R. A. Candy, chairman of the Herd Recording Council of the New Zealand Dairy Board, paid a short visit to Whakatane on Monday.

Rev F. J. Climo, Minister of the Methodist Church, Whakatane, has received notice of his transfer to Opotiki. He will conduct his last services here on April 3, and expects to leave Whakatane about April 8.

Chaplain Fraser, the cosmopolitan minister of the Arawas, Rotorua, will participate in the military unveiling and dedication of a war memorial at Waiohou on Sunday. While at Whakatane' he will be the guest of Mr and Mrs N. McG. Brerpner.
