“Temporary” School Room To Be Vacated

After having been used for over 20 years as a “temporary” school room, the old Band Room is to be vacated on Monday. Now that the prefabricated buildings at the High School are erected it is possible to accommodate all the children in the school’s own buildings, a fact which will no doubt cause considerable parental satisfaction. The school roll is now 923.

Negotiations for a new school at Ohope are continuing, but so far there is nothing definite for publication, the School Committee’s secretary, Mr J. H. Duthie,' said yesterday.
