Expansion of Whakatane Mills
During its nine years operations the number of men employed at the mill has risen to 270, the manager, Mr E. Brown, told the Minister of Einance, the Hon Walter Nash, during a brief visit to the Whakatane Board Mills on Monday. In that period it has manufactured 120,000 tdns of cardboard.
