Herb McKenley, the visiting Jamaican athlete, holder of the world quarter-mile and 400 metres record, » may return to Auckland next summer and become honorary coach ri> the Auckland Amateur Athletic Centre. Empire Games Entries Rhodesia and Trinidad have accepted invitations to compete in the 1950 British Empire Games to be held in Auckland. Rhodesia expects to send 15 competitors for swimming, boxing and athletic events. A bowling team will probably be sent also.
