Electricity Cut Off To Many Country Consumers
Consumers between Taneatua and Bdgecumbe had intermittent supplies of electricity from just after lunch Wednesday afternoon. Power came through for some periods and •was then cut off.
1 The trouble was finally traced by -the electrical servicemen of the Bay of Plenty Power Board to a broken down high tension insulator. Although some inconvenience was caused to farmers milking, the fault was repaired by Wednesday night. A fault in the power feeder at Waimana also deprived consumers of electricity most of Wednesday afternoon at Waimana a*d in the ’Opouriao Valley. It was later repaired, after the fault had been located.
