Whakatane Loses To New Plymouth
Shooting
An interesting postal shoot was held by the Whakatane Junior Rifle Club on the range at Valley Road last Saturday against the New Plymouth Miniature Rifle Club.
New Plymouth shot some fine targets, scoring 275 out of. a possible of 300. The Whakatane Club could pot quite equal this figure. Their scores came to a total of 270 on 18 targets, leaving New Plymouth the winners by five points. On his shoot, P. Stubbs won the pennant for the best average shoot of the day, a particularly fine performance as he is one of the youngest and newest members of the dub. ___ , Tf&r'i - —— ;
