Coincidence Of Two Deaths At Ruatoki

A curious coincidence occurred at Ruatoki on Monday when two people, both related, died almost at the same instant.

A young Maori boy, Wakamaru Herewini was killed in an accident at 9.30 a.m. Almost at the same moment an older relation, Mr Taahe Roberts, who had been ill for some time, died. Both died of different causes but almost within seconds of one. another.

They were both taken to the Ruatoki Pa where a double tangi was held.
