Club May Be Forined Tomorrow
(By “Shorty’-) V|§ Well, we are now right in to the new year and time I think, we got moving again. After the encouraging response from those interested in athletics towards the end of last year it looked almost certain that Whakatane would have a club. Organisers who were at the meetings decided to leave matters until this month when arrangements would be put moving with forming the Whakatane Amateur Athletic Club. Planning is on the move now. Tomorrow night at the Domain at the usual time,. 6 o’clock, a practice is to be held and a good muster of both lads and lasses is required. Athletes who have now passed the active stage are asked to come along and assist as officials. These are wanted' badly.
