Small Boat Wrecked

While coming in over the bar at 'Matata on Boxing Day at about 4 p.m. a small fishing boat containing -two *men, Messrs Webb and Hawthorne, Matata, was swamped and ■ completely wrecked. Neither of the was injured, but fishing gear and fish were lost while the boat itself is a complete loss. The boat, which was a dinghy rmeasuring 17 feet, was fitted with an ■ outboard motor, which was later washed up on the beach and recovered.
