“Adam & Eve” Social At Thornton

A highly-successful combined Adam and Eve social and.dance was held in the Thornton Hall on Tuesday. Door takings were equally divided between~Adam and Eve, but the proceeds of the rival stalls remained to the credit of the sponsors. Although Adam will probably emerge a little to the good, financially, on the evening he has yet to show his ability to overtake Eve with her initial lead. The items by the Glee Club were much enjoyed as was also the item byy the Adams Bros. Ttie contest will be carried a stage further on Monn diay when a monster picnic will be held at the Thornton Beach. Games and races for young and old are arranged and this event should be popular. Adam is anxious to show his ability to stage a “Buck” evening, and this will be awaited with interest early in the New Year.
