Presbyterian Sunday School Tea
About 60 children attended the annual Presbyterian Sunday School tea held in the Sunday School room last week. The event was most enjoyable, the children being unanimously of the opinion that it. was the best ever. Games were played before tea and again afterwards. A very delicious tea was dispensed and orange drink and ice cream was enjoyed.
Highlight of the evening was the Christmas tree (which had been decorated by Rev Nummy) and the visit of' Santa Claus. On the tree were the prizes which had been won during the year. Every child received a gift, a box of sweets and a paper bid.
At the conclusion of the party Mr Nummy, who will be leaving the district in the near future, was presented with a fountain pen and Eversharp pencil by the Taneatua Sunday School children.
