Parents’ Day At Edgecumbe School Well-Attended
The annual Parents’ Day held at the Edgecumbe School on Thursday afternoon ' was very well attended, and thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. Mr R. J. Pattison, Headmaster, opened the programme, explaining that it was not a rehearsal concert, but a display of work done by the children through the past year. ' Opportunity was taken .to farewell Mr P. Fraser, who is leaving, and to welcome Miss P. Fergusson, who is at present relieving, and will officially commence her duties at the school next term. Mr Pattison thanked his staff most heartily for their help and cooperation through the year. Thanks were extended to all who had helped so willingly at the School Calf Club Day held last month, also to the School Committee, the ParentTeacher Association and especially to Mr R.' Withy, committee chairman. ■, On display in the various class rooms was written work, drawing, handwork, and numerous other samples of the children’s school activities.
