Lodge Pays Visit To Whakatane

The officers of the ’Royal Arch Chapter No. 24, U.A.0.D., recently paid an official visit to Whakatane Lodge No. 97. An unusually large number of. members were present including the officers and members of Edgecumbe and Te Puke Lodges. The Master of Ceremonies of Whakatane Lodge officially introduced the officers of the Chapter,, who were - suitably welcomed by Arch Druid Bro. R. Schou and were , given the customary honours due to their high rank. . At the conclusion of-the routine business of the Lodge two addresseswere given, the first by Royal Vice Arch Druid, P.D.P. Bro. J. Mullins, of Edgecumbe Lodge on Chairmanship relative to : the conduct of Lodge meetings. The second was given by Royal Arch Druid, P.D.P. Bro. H. M. Carter, also of Edgecumbe Lodge, the subject being the history and an outline of Druidism from ancient times to the present day. Both addresses were well , received and the officers concerned were given a very hearty vote of thanks. ,
