Whakatane Refused Increase Of Power
The recent application by the Whakatane Borough Council for an increase of its power allocation has been refused -at the present time, according to a letter received at Monday night’s meeting of the council from the Electricity Controller, Mr A. E. Davenport. The letter said that early this month the Power Shortage Advisory Committee was to meet at Wellington to make a survey of the Dominion’s needs and future allocations would be made accordingly. Until then here would be no changes. 4
