Win For P. & T. Over Taneatua P. and T. defeated Taneatua on Sunday in the first game of the second round of the Clarke Shield by an innings and 110 runs. Taneatua scored 67 (McCready 19, McGougan 18; Rivett 3 wickets for 7 runs, Whiteside 2 for 0, Gillam 4 for 22) and were dismissed in three-quart-ers of an hour for only 44 in the 2nd innings (Gillam 7 for 9, including the hat trick, Rivett 2 for 0). P. and'T. in their Ist innings scored 219 (Shapley 74, Goodall 39 not out, Whitcher 32 retired, Rivett 24; McGougan 2 for 28, Barker 3 foT 79, Ross 1 for 4, McCready 1 for 35).
