Water For Fighting Fires On Hillcrest

There is no water available •for fighting fires on Hillcrest, the superintendent of the Whakatane Fire Brigade told the Beacon yesterday. Should there' be any fire the brigade will be hampered and severely restricted in the amount of assistance it can render. It is understood however, that the Whakatane Borough Council has plans to install mains and supply water for fire fighting on Hillcrest.
