Matinee Meeting 1 In Prospect A general meeting of the newlyformed" Whakatane Racing Club drew a good attendance at Edg'ecumbe on Thursday night, when, rules recommended- by the execu*tive were approved. The club also decided to apply for incorporation and for affiliation with the Nevr Zealand Racing Conference, from, whom it is hoped to obtain a permit to hole! totalisator meetings eventually. Meanwhile the committee is concentrating on arrangements for a matinee meeting on the -Te Teko course ih the autumn.
