Aid For Britain
Since its inception, the Whakatane Lady Galway Guild has sent overseas 20,000 articles, excluding toys and food parcels. It has been approached by Lady Freyberg to assist people in bombed out areas in England, and the branch has decided to keep functioning. To raise funds for food and clothing, it is proposed to hold a stall at the hall in King Street, on December 17.
