LARGE NUMBER OF ENTRIES IN SHOW AT EDGECUMBE
The annual calf club day was held . at the Edgecumbe School on Friday. Entries were good and of a high standard in all sections. Mr L. Berg, judge of the calf section, comment--ed favourably on the animals entered. He said they were some of the foesk he had had to judge and reflected great credit on their owners. The headmaster, Mr R. J. Patterrson, thanked the judges for their splendid work. It was no easy task for them. i The senior pupils were in charge • of the various stalls, games and • competitions. It is expected that the school funds will benefit consider- . ably from the day’s takings. The children in charge of the various efforts •vdid an exceptionally good trade.
