Perfect Rainbow
A perfect rainbow’ spanning Whakatane from the south, delighted many people on Thursday evening at 1 about 7 o’clock. Complete in every detail, it made a charming picture and remained for some time, before fading away with the setting sun. Back To Pre-War Level According to U.N.O. statistical data, Poland’s potato consumption, has reached pre-war level, and that of sugar, pork and fat has exceeded pre-war level. The grain consumption is the greatest in Europe (except Yugoslavia). Meat and fish consumption together amounts to 70.4 per head per year, placing Poland among Europe’s richest nations.
