Courage Of A Dog

A dog which has performed great services for mankind has just died. He was Storm, a 1 121-year-old Al-. satian and the rescuer of 80 people in the London blitz. With two other Alsatians Storm was trained by his owner, Mrs Margaret Griffin, of Benson, Oxfordshire, to rescue blitz victims. For ht.r services Mrs Griffin - was awarded the B.E.M. When the telephone lines were broken Storm used to run with messages from A.R.P. posts to the report centre, once running three and a half miles in just under 14 minutes.
