Shops Will Be Busy At Xmas
With just over five weeks to go until Christmas shops and businesses in Whakatane are now beginning to arrange their various displays in preparation for the inevitable Christmas buying rush. The staffs especially are girding themselves for what is going to be their busiest period of the year. In all shops business is expected to rise, and as usual, it is expected that December 24 will be one of the busiest days. This applies particularly to food shops, grocers, butchers and the home cookeries and bakers. .
