The Edgecumbe committee is endeavouring to arrange friendly <?rmes whenever possible to give all members a game on Sunday a

team will travel to Waiohou to play a team from Tunnicliffe’s Mill. The following players will meet at the Edgecumbe Hotel on Sunday at 8.45 a.m.:— To play Taneatua at Edgecumbe: J. Porter, I. Campbell, S. Wyre, F. McDonald, L. Thurlow, B. Wilson, K. Civil, K. Tunnicliffe, J. Campbell, K. Simpson, T. Anderson, R. Hunter. To play Waiohou at Waiohou: A. Porter, A. Blake, D. Cornwall, J. Alexander, M. Cook, R. Treloar, T McManus, P. Blake, V. Plank, F*. Millan, J. Ferguson, H. Hawkins, M. Laing, V. Green. Edgecumbe v Galatea V " A friendly game' was played at Edgecumbe between these two, Edgecumbe batted first and were all out for 42. A. Porter. 15, J. Ferguson 10. Bowling: D. Wilson 4 for 8, Nettleton 3 for 12. Galatea started badly but recovered with a nice innings by T. Rowlands, who made 25, the side being out for 54. Lunch and afternoon tea were provided for the visitors and regardless of showery weather all players had an enjoyable day’s sport.
