Earlier Publication

To enable the Beacon to be delivered earlier on certain routes, it has been decided to advance the time of going to press half an hour. That means it will no lohger be possible to handle telephoned advertisements on the morning of publication. All advertisements and late news items intended for publication should be at the office by ,5 p.m. the. day before. Urgent late advertisements will be accepted at the factory NO LATER THAN 8 a.m. This is a rule to which there can be no exceptions if the paper is to be published on time, and we are confident we can expect public co-operation.
