Bowling At Ohope
Members •of the Ohope Bowling Club spent a pleasant afternoon on. the Club’s green on Saturday, despite a light shower of rain. During the afternoon two Challenge Button games were played which aroused considerable interest, first being a Rink Challenge for four Challenge Buttons. The secdnd game was a single Challenge Button game, in which, the challenger, Bob Murray,, defeated the holder, Harry Armstrong, by one point. Following are the results of the day’s play:—
Challenge Buttons: Rinks: Taylor,, Petersen, Murray, Nixon, challengers, lost to the holders, Steer, MeCowan, Harrison, Harris/ 28—12. Single Challenge Buttons: R. Murray beat H. Armstrong 16—15. Other games: Clarke, Leech, An-> stis 6, Rae, Patterson, Wilson ' 8; Gill, Head, 29, Stanley, Millar 9. . Afternoon tea was supplied by Mrs Millar: For next Sunday an in-ter-club day has been arranged.
