W.I. Federation Executive Meets

A meeting of the executive committee of the Eastern Bay of Plenty Federation of Women’s Institutes was held recently in Whakatane, Mrs Armstrong presiding over a good attendance. Members contributed to the cost of sending flowers to Mrs Stansbur'y who is ill in hospital. -v • > It was decided to hold a meeting with one delegate from each Institute, to make up a programme for next year’s Eisteddfod. * . A motion was carried that £2O, the profits from the recent Home Industries Show, be donated to Dominion Headquarters Building Fund. Group Travel schemes were discussed, and it was decided to arrange a South Island trip at the end of April if possible, and a shorter North Island one shortlv after.

As a very full programme has’ been arranged for next year it was decided that a show would not be held. A group meeting is to be organised at Opotiki, other Institutes to be asked to contribute. The secretary was instructed o write to Mrs Terry to arrange a Drama Schools as early as possible in the new year.
