Drying Off Suddenly

"Will the drying off of a cow suddenly by just stopping milking cause it any ill effects?" Dr. W. E. Petersen, American expert in Dairy Husbandry, was asked at an address in Whakatane on Monday night. Experiments had been carried out in both the sudden and slow methods of drying off, Dr. Petersen said in reply. So far however, little difference in each had been noticed but he did not think any harm would resell.
