League Of Mothers’ Children’s Day
Mrs Needham presided over a fair attendance at the monthly - meeting of the Whakatane League ■of Mothers, opening the meeting in - the customary manner. Mrs Metcalfes gave a short .talk -on League activity from the time of its inception, - also an excellent ad- ... dress to the many children present; illustrating with pictures of happy •children, and telling how God first gave each a happy face, but in .later years expressions altered, mainly 'due to discontent and unhappiness within ourselves. A shoulder spray was presented - to the speaker. As it was children’s afternoon, many delightful items were contributed.
