Wet Weather Arrangements For Vice-Regal Visit
It has now been decided, in view ■-of the facts that the Winter Show building is so far from the school, and that transport facilities for the -children are not easily available that, should it be wet for the Viceregal visit next Tuesday, the school : function will be cancelled. In the event of wet weather, His » Excellency will meet returned ser- - vice, personnel at noon at the Win- - ter Show building, not at the Commercial Hotel. Fine weather arrangements are as published on ' Wednesday. The investiture scheduled for 12.30 is not a public one, but His . .Excellency has agreed to present an .M.8.E., 2 M.M’s and a Royal Humane Society Medal to recipients who . cannot get to Tauranga for the pub- ' lie investiture on Monday night.
