THAT BRIDGE QUESTION
Sir, —I am pleased our local bodies are getting busy on the bridge question again. Certainly, Whakatane’s main approach- from Rotoru'a and Tauranga does leave plenty to be desired. Do you think < it would be possible to persuade Mr Semple7'while he’s at it, to straighten the approaches to some of the other main highways bridges not far from here? • In a lifetime of motoring I don’t think I’ve ever struck a district with more dangerous bridge approaches. Yours etc., SAFETY FIRST.
