W.I. Meeting

The monthly meeting of the Wai-mana-Nukuhou Women’s Institute was very well attended by members and visitors. After the Institute -song, Mrs Athol Addison read the Aspirations. The president, Mrs 'Looney, read a most interesting letter from the Federation president, Mrs K. Armstrong. It was decided to support the ) Horticultural Show, which is to be held in Whakatane in November. Delegates to attend the Bi-annual meeting to be held at Edgecumbe on October 14 are Mrs M. King and Mrs T. King. A collection was taken for the Leper appeal - fund. At the conclusion of the meeting and most successful show. Mrs ' Looney thanked the judges, Mrs Wylde and Mrs M. King, show secretaries stewards, and all who help»ed in any way.
