Dan Dailey, who confesses he knows practically nothing about handicapping and goes to the race track only once a year, made his annual visit the other day to Hollywood Park, when he had time off

from his work at the studios in “Chicken Every Sunday.” As he was leaving the park after the final race, the 20th Century-Fox star ran into Betty Grable and husband Harry James. “How , did you do?” asked the beaming Dan. “Terrible,” replied Betty. “Only one winner.” Then followed the usual question of how Dan made out. “Oh, I had six winners,” he replied, “and I would have had seven if I had followed my hunch instead of betting on Redigal.” Redigal, by the way, is one of the horses owned by Betty and Harry!
