Nice Postmark—lf One Could Get It

The postmaster at Waipukurau, Mr V. P. Scaletti, received a surprise this week when a letter postmarked Dayton, Ohio, arrived addressed to “The Postmaster, tawhakatangihangakoanuaubtamateapokaiwhertuakitanatahu, New Zealand.” The writer asked that an envelope postmarked with the 75-letter placename should be sent to him. Unfortunately, there is no post office there. The 57 letters stand for the name of a hill-top near Porangahau.
