Health Stamps Sell Well On First Day
First day sales of health stamps this year were best yet recorded at Whakatane. Chamber of Commerce members canvassing the town area sold £ll7 15s worth,, £69 18s worth were sold over the Post Office counter, and £4 10s worth at the District High School, making a total of £192 3s. The Postmaster, Mr S. W. Hills, says he is delighted with the public’s response to > the campaign, and pleased to see that sales are being steadily maintained.
