Three Cloverfields Jersey Yearling’s Make 80gns Each
At the sale of stud Jersey Bulls held at Mr L. Berg’s Stud Farm on September 17, there was a good attendance of buyers from the Opotiki, Te Puke, Galatea and Whakatane districts. The top prices of 80 guineas were obtained on three occasions for yearling sons of the imported sire Lobelia Palatine Sultan, C. 8.8. Lot 19, son of Kyledale Princess Pat, V.H.C., C.O.R. 5201bs fat, was purchased by Mr R. Heard, Galatea. Lot 28 the son of Tolgarth Drama, V.H.C., C.O.R. 5451bs fat, was purchased by Mr E. J. Littlehales, Putaruru, and Lot 22 the son of Cloverfields Salome H.C., G.H.T. 499.821bs fat was purchased by Mr J. N. S. Nicol, Whakatane. Other principal sales were: Lot 25. J. Baird, Opotiki, 60gns; 3 S. C. Spence, Whakatane, 52gns; 31 J .Ah Mitchell, Waimana, 55gns; 35 A. D. Gibson, Edgecumbe,•42-|gns; 52 P. C. Hodge, Wangahu, 40gns; 6 A. O.
