St John Ex-Secretary Honoured

On Wednesday evening members of St John Ambulance Association and their friends met at an informal progressive “500” evening to make a presentation to the retiring secretary of the Association, Mr E. R. Dillicar, who has held that office with distinction for the past five years. » Mr Dillicar was given an easy chair for himself and a nest of oe casional tables for Mrs Dillicar. The gifts were accompanied by complimentary speeches by Messrs A. J. Canning, chairman, and A. Carling, for the Association, Mr E. J. Ramson for the Brigade, and Mr H. G. Warren for the Nursing Division. All paid glowing tributes to Mr Dillicar’s Work, particularly in connection with the building of the hall. Members of the Nursing Division served a tasty supper.
