Care Of The Eyes
To smooth away small wrinkles underneath—cleanse the surrounding area then massage very gently with a soft nutritive skin food mixed with a few drops of muscle oil taking care to move out above the lids and in towards the nose underneath. Leave on a thin film to seep in during the night. As an alternative, several times a week pat in a little gland cream. This is very penetrative and seems literally to “iron” the wrinkles away. For puffiness under the eyes—cleanse round the lids and then wring two pads of cotton wool out in cold water. Sprinkle these with a few drops of astringent lotion, place underneath the eyes and leave for about 10 minutes. If the skin is inclined to dry smooth in a little cream before putting on the pads. If you have hollows under the eyes they can be filled out by regular massage with a special eye cream which should be left on during the night. To refresh eyes that look tired wx-ing two pads of cotton wool out in cold water, and then soak in skin tonic. Place over the closed lids while resting and leave as long as possible. Every night strengthen the eyes with a good eye lotion used in the eyes and each morning blink the eyes in cold water. Neatly groomed eyebrows are the finishing touch. Make the arches clear and well defined but be careful to keep the natural line otherwise the brows look artificial.
