Rotorua Linked With Internal Airways System Today
Rotorua will be connected with the internal airways system today.. The route will be Auckland-Rotorua-Hamilton-Wellingto'n, with a call at Palmerston- North on the northbound flight. The route planned will enable aircraft to utilise the latest radio beam system on the main trunk route. ( . The following timetable has been announced by the National Airways Corporation:— / ■ Southbound trip: Dept. Auckland, 8.05 a.m., arr.' Rotorua, 9.10 a.m., dept. Rotorua* 9.20 a.m., arr. Hamilton, 9.55- a.m., dept. Hamilton, 10.05 a.m., arr. Wellington 11.55 a.m. Northbound trip: Dept.. Wellington 12.15 p.m., arr. Palmerston North 12.50 p.m., dept. Palmerston North 1.05 p.m., arr. Hamilton 2.50 p.m., dept. Hamilton 3.00 pm., arr. Rotorua 3.35 p.m., dept. Rotorua 3.45 p.m., arr. Auckland 4.55 p.m. The route will be inaugurated by the Lockheed Electra Kuaka. \ The service was originally promised for early this year but owing to the fact that 'there .were delays in the conversion of aircraft in Australia the project was postponed several times.
