Ohope Institute
At the monthly meeting of the Ohope Women’s Institute at the Captain’s Cabin, Mrs Sorenson presided over a good attendance. The monthly letter from the district president was read and business was discussed among the members present, the main subject being today’s show. It was decided to hold a special meeting to arrange for the numerous entries* to be assembled, and at the request for four stewards to assist on the day of the show, Me.sdames Marryatt, Sorenson, Critchley arid Miss Stewart volunteered. A vote of thanks was passed to Mrs Wainwright who has ably carried on the work as hon. secretary since the Instituie’s inception and is now handing on the position to Mrs Critchley. Mrs Dickson was elected treasurer. The supper cloth competition winner was Mrs Campbell. Before the adjournment for afternoon tea a bring and buy was held.
