Remarkable Growth Of N.Z. Industry
The growth of industry in New iZealgnd, as set out in the report of the Department of Industries and Commerce for the past year, has been rerharkable. ' Since 1925-26, when 4794 establishments produced goods worth £82,358,851, production has grown •to an estimated value of £216,462,000 .and the number of employees from 78,708 to 133,989. “We can,” says the report, “look •.forward to an even greater measure of expansion when most of the existing impediments, an aftermath of -the war, have been substantially re- : moved.”
