Children’s Appeal H.Q. Says Thanks To This District

This letter, addressed to the Mayor of Whakatane, has been released for publication at the suggestion of -the Borough Council:— “At the last meeting of the Do- ; minion Executive held in Wellington, reference was made to the very -valuable kind assistance and direc"tion you gave to this United Nations .Appeal for Children, and' as chairman I was requested by my Executive’s resolution to extend to you on their behalf their sincere appreciation of your co-operation and •contribution of personal effort which lias enabled this Appeal to be such ;.an outstanding success.

“In expressing this appreciation may I also ask you to please accept my own personal best wishes and ■thanks for all you have done.
