Rooney—Song Writer
Mickey Rooney, quite a song writer himself, gets a bit of advice from Irving Berlin, the music master himself, as he comes to a troublesome passage in a new tune he is composing. Like Berlin, Mickey writes both the words and music but he has had six tunes published, compared with Berlin’s 800 and more. Jiie two met over a piano recently at M.G.M. where Berlin’s “Easter Parade” has just been completed and. w r here Rooney is busy before the Technicolour cameras in “Words and Music.”
