• The League of Mothers monthly meeting held in Knox Hall on Thursday, was presided over by Mrs Metcalfe. All general League , affairs were suspended to give this vital speaker all possible time available to tell of her experiences in Britain, China, India, Malaya and also to present the new Y.W.C.A. building project which is to be started in Wellington to aid the young women of this country, and to. give those present the opportunity to help in this movement.
