Kay Kendall As Sailor
Key Kendall has the distinction of being a direct descendant of Captain Cook and her family still possess his compass and. knife at their
family home in Yorkshire. Kay, too, must have the sea in her blood for cne of her childhood ambitions was to be a fisherman! Of this ambition she has a very amusing story to tell. With her young brother, Terry, they set out in a small rowing boat to see the world. They lost the oars, and drifted for six hours before being picked up by some real seafolk. When they arrived home they were tired and happy, but very hungry—having forgotten that it is a wise thing to take food aboard before setting out on a long voyage!
