BRITISH GAS TURBINE FOR AUTOMOBILE USE
Believed to be the first in the world, a gas turbine engine, designed for use in automobiles has been announced by the British govern-ment-owned Power Jets Research and Development Co. in London. Weighing 2501b5. the engine develops 35 h.p. and measures seven inches in diameter and five feet in length. It was invented by R. H. Barr and Geoffrey White, and will run on kerosene or Diesel fuel.
